SAEDNEWS: In a candid post on X, Mohammad Hossein Ranjbaran—advisor to Vice President Ali Bagheri Araqchi—has urged Iran’s security agencies to swiftly remove and monitor any officials whose families are tied to the Mujahedin‑e Khalq, warning against repeated lapses in national security.
According to Saed News, Mohammad Hossein Ranjbaran published a forceful warning on his personal X account, highlighting persistent vulnerabilities within Iran’s institutions. He argued that “one of the recurring vulnerabilities of our system has been the Mujahedin‑e Khalq (‘hypocrites’) and their families,” noting that flawed policy decisions have allowed some to be “rehabilitated” and appointed to senior government posts.
Ranjbaran’s admonition comes in the wake of the so‑called Afghan migrant crisis, which—he asserts—has inflicted the greatest damage on national security over the past four years. “Any official whose immediate family members are linked to the Mujahedin‑e Khalq must be promptly dismissed and rigorously monitored,” he wrote, insisting that “the regime and the people must not be bitten twice by the same hole.” He stressed that his recommendation “is not based on mere conjecture” but on analytical evidence.
The adviser’s intervention hints increasing concern over infiltration by groups long deemed hostile to the Islamic Republic. It also reflects broader unease about the integrity of security vetting procedures and the potential for ideological subversion at the highest levels of government.
By calling for decisive action, Ranjbaran has placed Iran’s security apparatus under fresh scrutiny, challenging officials to bolster internal safeguards and ensure that past mistakes are not repeated.
