SAEDNEWS: In a tragedy overshadowed by the broader conflict, media sources have confirmed the death of Khalil Abu Ali, the longtime personal bodyguard of Hezbollah’s former Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in a recent Israeli airstrike on Tehran.
According to Saed News, quoting a report from Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper, Khalil Abu Ali—renowned for his decades-long service as the personal security chief to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah—was killed in the Israeli assault on the Iranian capital on June 13, 2025. His son also reportedly lost his life in the same strike. Al-Akhbar did not provide further details.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, was part of a broader Israeli offensive that targeted Tehran and several other Iranian cities, resulting in the deaths of multiple high-ranking military commanders, scientists, and civilians.
The strike prompted a sharp response from Iran’s Supreme Leader, who in a public address warned that Israel would face “severe punishment” and declared that “the powerful arm of the Iranian armed forces will not let this crime go unanswered.”
In the days following the attack, Iran launched a large-scale retaliatory campaign dubbed Operation True Promise 3, involving coordinated missile and drone strikes against Israeli military and infrastructure targets. Iranian officials claim the operation has dealt significant blows to the Israeli regime, describing it as one of the most extensive responses in the history of their conflict.
The loss of Khalil Abu Ali and his son—figures of symbolic and operational significance in the axis of resistance—adds a deeply personal dimension to a war increasingly marked by high-profile casualties and escalating regional stakes.
