SAEDNEWS: Iran’s National Security Commission met with Major General Mousavi, who confirmed the armed forces are at full combat readiness following the 12-day defense against Israel. He warned that any aggression would face a stronger and more painful response than before.
According to Saed News citing IRIB News Agency, Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Parliament, announced: Members of the Commission met today with Major General Mousavi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and his deputies.
He continued: In this meeting, Major General Mousavi presented a report on the latest status of the armed forces, their defensive readiness to confront threats, as well as the operations carried out by the armed forces during the 12-day defense and the blows dealt to the Zionist regime.
The spokesperson of the Commission emphasized: Major General Mousavi stressed that “we will stand with strength and power against enemies and defend the country.”
Rezaei added: The deputies of Major General Mousavi also presented reports from their respective areas of responsibility, and based on what was stated in this meeting, my own assessment is that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are in full readiness, at the highest level of defensive and combat preparedness, and ready to deliver a regretful response to any aggression. If any attack is carried out against our country, our response will be firmer and more painful than before. My evaluation is that our strength and readiness are now much greater.
He continued: Members of the National Security Commission also expressed their appreciation for the sacrifices and devotion of the armed forces in defending the country, and stressed the parliament’s and the Commission’s full support for the armed forces, strengthening national defense capabilities, and addressing the livelihoods and needs of armed forces personnel.
