SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Defense Minister detailed the country’s defense industry achievements, highlighting missile, cyber, and air defense capabilities, and emphasized enhancing the armed forces’ readiness.
According to Saed News, quoting IRNA, Amir Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, outlined the achievements of the country’s defense industry in a joint meeting on Tuesday, September 4, attended by heads of parliamentary commissions and other officials of the ministry.
The Defense Minister emphasized that, following the directives of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to maintain and continuously enhance readiness against enemy threats, the armed forces, with self-confidence, faith, focus on knowledge, and ongoing innovation and modern technologies, have demonstrated to the world the vulnerability of the Zionist regime, particularly during the recent imposed war.
He continued: “In the recent sacred defense and national operations, the armed forces, leveraging advanced defense industry achievements, successfully penetrated the multi-layered and sophisticated air defense of the Zionist regime, which was supported by other Western governments and the U.S., and destroyed many of their military targets with missiles resulting from the efforts of defense scientists.”
The meeting, held in honor of the defense industry during Government Week, also featured heads of the Ideological-Political Organization, Intelligence Protection Organization, and deputy ministers, who detailed ongoing strategic approaches, the ministry’s interactions with Parliament, government, and armed forces, and outlined the country’s defensive readiness.
During the meeting, members of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission and heads of specialized parliamentary commissions praised the achievements of the armed forces and the Iranian nation’s victory in the Zionist-imposed war. They emphasized the importance of strengthening the armed forces’ initiatives to enhance defense industry capabilities in strategic areas such as missile development, air defense, cyber capabilities, and other land, air, and naval combat domains, aiming to achieve advanced technological and joint national defense capabilities. Parliament also expressed readiness to support the armed forces and the defense industry.
Other topics discussed included improving the welfare of armed forces personnel and retirees, ensuring timely and adequate resources and funding to strengthen national defense, and the upcoming annual budget bill, which received strong emphasis from parliamentary representatives.
