No Closures: Iran Confirms European Embassies Remain Fully Operational

According to Saed News quoting IRNA, the spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the renewed circulation of rumors about the closure of certain European diplomatic facilities in Iran. He said: “This fabrication also occurred a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday, following the news of the German ambassador’s farewell, a new wave of rumors emerged, entirely aimed at creating unrest. None of the three embassies mentioned are closed. Some embassies, following recent developments or during the military aggression of the Israeli regime, have reduced parts of their operations and limited their consular services; the reasons for this are clear to everyone. However, these restrictions do not equate to embassy closures.”

Baqaei added: “All three embassies mentioned are open and fully active. In addition, some embassies are undergoing transformations in their consular sections, including outsourcing certain services, which is common among many foreign embassies. Therefore, no; this claim is not true.”
