SAEDNEWS: Thousands of demonstrators across Europe rallied Saturday to condemn Israel’s relentless massacres in Gaza, denouncing the regime’s crimes against journalists, health workers, and civilians as the death toll surpasses 61,900.
In Stockholm, protesters filled Odenplan Square, raising Palestinian flags and photos of Al Jazeera journalists murdered by Israel.
Many wore black and carried symbolic coffins to honor slain reporters.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel has killed 238 journalists since October 7, 2023, including Anas al-Sharif and Mohamed Qraiqea, who were targeted last week near Al-Shifa Hospital along with several colleagues.
In Dublin, thousands of doctors, nurses, and medical staff marched in silence, carrying images of their counterparts killed under Israel’s bombardment.
They demanded an immediate ceasefire and an end to systematic Israeli attacks on Gaza’s health care system.
In Glasgow, demonstrators marched from Glasgow Green to the city center.
Scottish Housing Secretary Mairi McAllan joined the protest, declaring on social media: “The atrocities must end! We must stand up and raise our voices against a genocide unfolding before our eyes. War crimes cannot be committed with impunity.”
In eastern England, police arrested 13 people in Norwich for supporting Palestine Action, a banned pro-Palestine group, while hundreds more were detained last week in London for carrying placards accusing Israel of genocide.
Photos from Norwich rallies showed banners reading, “I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action.”
In Buckinghamshire, thousands besieged the Royal Air Force’s High Wycombe base, demanding an end to Britain’s complicity in Israeli war crimes.
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign wrote on social media: “Shame on the British government for allowing these flights to continue! Stop arming Israel now.”
Israel has ignored mounting international calls for a ceasefire and continues its brutal assault on Gaza.
The International Criminal Court last year issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ex-war minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The regime also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its ongoing slaughter in the enclave.
