Commander Shadmani’s Last Promotion and His Martyrdom 10 Days Later

According to Saed News citing Tasnim News Agency, Commander Shadmani was promoted to his final military rank on 14 June, just one day after Israel launched an attack on Iranian territory—a day marked by the martyrdom of Commander Gholamali Rashid, commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters.

The following is the transcript of the conversation between the soldier and his commander during the awarding of Shadmani’s rank of Brigadier General. Commander Shadmani was martyred 10 days later, on 25 June.

Commander Shadmani

Commander-in-Chief: In a book written by Mr. Hamid Hesam about Hamedan and its people, where he wrote about Martyr Hassan Turk, your name is also mentioned; I saw your name there.

Commander Shadmani: Yes, Hassan Turk was our axis commander. We had a Basij division named Hazrat Hojjat (may God hasten his reappearance), and he was my axis commander. Later he joined Martyr Hamedani, who was commander of the Ansar Brigade, and there he became axis commander. He was martyred in Faw. When I joined the Ansar division, he had already been martyred. When I first went to the Ilam front, from Dehloran to Soumar in 2011 (1390 in Iranian calendar), Martyr Chit Sazian, Martyr Hassan Turk, and Martyr Salagi were with me; I had known them from the beginning and we were together.

Commander-in-Chief: May God elevate their ranks, God willing.

Commander Shadmani: For 23 years in the General Staff and Khatam Headquarters, I tried my best to implement Your Excellency’s orders, working closely with Commander Baqeri and Commander Rashid, who were responsible in the Headquarters.

Commander-in-Chief: God willing, may you succeed.

Commander Shadmani: Please pray for me. (The rank of Brigadier General was awarded to Commander Shadmani.)

Commander-in-Chief: May it be blessed, God willing.

Commander Shadmani: Allahu Akbar; my life is dedicated to the Leader.

Commander-in-Chief: May God protect you, God willing.

Commander Shadmani: I was very worried about the responsibility assigned to me. Before the noon prayer, I opened the Quran and the verse 195 of Surah Al-Imran appeared:
"And if you obey Allah’s command and leave your homes for His cause, and endure the hardships of migration, and fight in the way of Allah, then He has promised Paradise for you."
Please pray that we will be worthy of martyrdom, God willing.

Commander-in-Chief: Verse 195, God willing you will be successful and aided. Farewell; God’s peace be upon you.
