SAEDNEWS: Major General Hatami, in a message on the occasion of Research and Technology Week, emphasized that cooperation with scientific and knowledge-based centers must continue at an accelerated pace and highlighted the need to remove obstacles facing researchers.
According to Saed News’ political service, quoting the Army’s Public Relations Office, Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, issued a message on the occasion of Research and Technology Week.
The text of the message is as follows:
“Research Week symbolizes the determination of a nation that seeks its decisive battles in the fields of research, development, and laboratories. Such a battle requires soldiers whose weapons are knowledge, faith, and an unyielding will—an will that transforms sanctions and limitations into opportunities for self-reliance and progress. The experiences of the Sacred Defense and the victories of resistance testify that even in the toughest battles, the enemy yields before iron determination and self-reliant thought.
Undoubtedly, science and research are strategic weapons for safeguarding independence, territorial integrity, and the Islamic Republic system. With such a monumental mission, the Iranian Army, as the capable arm of the nation, has consistently led in scientific and technological fields. This leadership stems from firm resolve and unwavering faith in victory.
In a world where dominance revolves around the monopoly and tools of knowledge, research is for us a field to break the chains of scientific dependence. Every research step reflects a will that, guided by faith in divine promises, advances toward independence and justice.
What has alarmed our adversaries is the flourishing of this very will in areas such as nuclear technology, aerospace, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and more.
Effective research arises from genuine strategic needs and shifts the balance of power in favor of oppressed and disadvantaged nations. Our efforts focus on developing deterrent technologies that send a clear message to our enemies: these achievements are not merely technical calculations but are born of a spirit of jihad and selflessness rooted in the culture of the Sacred Defense.
The impact of these advancements extends beyond geographic borders. Every success of the Islamic Republic of Iran generates hope among oppressed nations and provides a tangible model for breaking the scientific monopolies of global powers.
The army’s role in this field is pioneering and inspirational. Close collaboration between universities and research centers exemplifies national convergence in the pursuit of scientific progress, demonstrating that military institutions can also be hubs of science and technology serving humanity.
Research that upholds divine and human values not only produces tangible results but also nurtures committed, justice-seeking scholars. This realm of knowledge stands in direct opposition to the global system of scientific dominance, which serves exploitation and oppression.
I earnestly expect that, under current conditions—where the front of arrogance seeks to undermine our territorial integrity, independence, and system—collaboration with knowledge-based centers will continue with increased speed, obstacles before researchers will be removed, and these anonymous soldiers of the science front will be duly honored. The memory of the martyrs of this field, especially the army’s research martyrs, lights our path, and we pledge to continue their mission with greater strength.
With reliance on Almighty God and full utilization of domestic capacities, under the wise leadership of the Supreme Commander, Imam Khamenei, we hope to deepen scientific self-sufficiency and strengthen the deterrent power of the great Iranian nation. This path will continue steadfastly until the divine promise regarding the heirs of the Earth is fulfilled.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.”
