SAEDNEWS A Young Woman in Nigeria Designs a Wig Over 351 Meters Long
A Nigerian woman has set a new world record by creating the longest handmade wig ever recorded.
Helen Williams designed a wig that stretches over 351 meters in length. The intricate weaving process took 11 days to complete and cost approximately $2,500.
Her project incorporated 1,000 packs of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and 6,250 hairpins. Despite her eight years of experience in wig-making, Williams said the process was far from easy and left her exhausted.
Once the wig was completed, finding a suitable location to lay it out and measure it accurately posed another challenge. She ultimately chose a highway connecting Lagos and Abeokuta to display her creation.
Guinness World Records officially confirmed her achievement on Tuesday.
