Hand pain is one of those problems that can be extremely bothersome and disabling. One of the causes that may produce hand pain is stress.

Prayer for severe hand pain

For this ailment, recite this prayer once, then blow (on the affected area); healing will occur:

(Arabic text begins — passages from Sūrat al-Ghashiyah and related verses are quoted here in the Persian article.)

Translation / sense (as used in devotional context):
“Has there come to you the account of the Overwhelming (Al-Ghashiyah)? Faces that day will be humbled, laboring, weary; they will be consigned to a fiercely burning Fire; they will be given to drink from a boiling spring; they will have no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant; no, they will not be satisfied nor will it avert hunger. Then there will be faces that day, smooth, delighted with their effort, in lofty gardens; therein they shall hear no useless talk; there is a running spring; therein are raised couches and set cups; there are arranged cushions and spread carpets. Do they not look at the camels—how they were created, and at the sky—how it is raised, and at the mountains—how they are set up, and at the earth—how it is spread? So remind; you are but a reminder. You are not over them a controller except whoever turns away and disbelieves, then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment; to Us is their return, and surely upon Us is their reckoning.” (Sūrat al-Ghashiyah — excerpt as quoted)

Prayer for relieving arm pain (hand and upper limb)

For pain of the arm, tie or place this verse on the arm:

Translation / sense:
“And it was said, ‘O earth, swallow up your water, and O sky, withhold (your rain)’ and the water was diminished and the matter was accomplished, and it settled on al-Jūdī, and it was said, ‘Away with the wrongdoing people.’” (Sūrat Hūd 11:44 — cited here per the article)

Also recite:

(Kahf 105)

Translation / sense (start of verse reference):
“And truly We have sent it down with truth, and truly it descends with truth…” (beginning of Sūrat al-Kahf — verse indicated)

Prayer for immediate hand pain relief

For immediate relief from hand pain, one may write down the following and keep it (or carry it):

prayer

Translation / sense:
“The Jews said, ‘The hand of Allah is chained’ — their hands are chained and they are cursed for what they said; rather His hands are outstretched; He spends as He wills; and many among them shall increase in rebellion and disbelief at what has been revealed to you from your Lord… So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.” (Excerpts cited from Sūrat al-Mā’idah — chapters/verses indicated as in the article)

Prayer for disorders of the hands and feet

For weakness of the hands and feet — a cause that can make the limbs weak and numb — recite this prayer, then blow on the amulet or tie it on, and wear it around the neck:

Translation / sense (selected verses used as invocations):
“Allah obliterates whatsoever He wills and establishes (what He wills); and with Him is the Mother of the Book.” (Sūrat Ibrāhīm 14:39 — excerpt)
“And truly We have sent it down with truth, and it descends with truth…” (Sūrat al-Kahf — excerpt)
“Praise be to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers—having wings, two, three and four.” (Sūrat Fāṭir 35:1 — opening phrase quoted)

Prayer for relieving pain in the right hand

For pain in the right arm, tie this verse:

Translation / sense:
“Indeed those who pledge allegiance to you, they pledge allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is over their hands; whoever breaks his pledge breaks it only to his own detriment, and whoever fulfills what he pledged to Allah—Allah will grant him a great reward.” (Sūrat al-Fath 48:10 — excerpt cited)

Prayer for drying (loss of moisture) in hands and feet

For drying or atrophy of the hands and feet, recite this and then wash the words and have the person drink the water:

Translation / sense (Ayat al-Kursi and related passages):
“Allah—there is no god except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they do not encompass any of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him; and He is the Most High, the Most Great.” (Sūrat al-Baqarah 2:255 — Ayat al-Kursi excerpt)
