SAEDNEWS: The head of the judiciary issued directives regarding how judicial officials should act in pursuing the Zionist regime’s crimes against the Iranian nation at the international level.
According to Saednews, quoting the Judiciary’s Media Center, Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimeen Mohseni Eje’i, in remarks delivered on Monday, June 30 (Tir 9), during a session of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, once again offered condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom and mourning days of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (AS), and stated:
“In recent events, once again the fruits of the insightful, wise, and prudent guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution were manifested, and the enemy’s plots and deceptions were thwarted and exposed due to this leadership. In these events, the Leader once again became the axis of cohesion and unity of the people, and the Islamic nation of Iran rallied around the guardianship, truly proving their loyalty. In recent days, we witnessed even those who may have grievances about the situation of the country, still defended the guardianship against the despicable enemy and declared themselves obedient to the Supreme Leader.”
Referring to the repeated warnings by the Supreme Leader about the untrustworthy nature of the U.S., he said:
“Our wise and insightful Leader has repeatedly warned that the United States and the leaders of that arrogant regime cannot be trusted. In the recent events, everyone witnessed and realized that the U.S. regime is truly untrustworthy — especially as it is now led by a wicked and disgraceful individual who constantly changes positions, lacks character and etiquette, and whose words and stances should never be taken seriously.”
The head of the judiciary continued by expressing gratitude to the people of Iran for their heroic presence during the recent events:
“The insight of the people during these incidents was truly remarkable. Based on this insight, they achieved extraordinary unity and cohesion around the axis of guardianship. One of the clear signs of the triumph of truth over falsehood in recent events was this unity. On Saturday, during the funeral ceremony for the martyrs of national power, the roaring and pure flood of the Iranian people was displayed before the eyes of the world. Truly, during that ceremony, one could sense the divine spirit through the solidarity, insight, and loyalty of the people.”
He went on to say that the enemy’s main plans were thwarted:
“The enemy had prepared plans and, based on its calculations, was certain it would achieve its evil goals. However, the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader and the loyalty and unity of the Iranian people disrupted those calculations. The events that occurred from June 12 to June 24 (Khordad 23 to Tir 3) became a turning point for all free people in the world.”
He emphasized:
“The people and the armed forces of Islamic Iran, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader, proved to the world that they are truly Ashura’i and embody the phrase ‘Hayhat Minna al-Dhilla’ (‘Far be it from us to accept humiliation’). The loyalty to the guardianship, dignity, and refusal to bow to humiliation shown by the Iranian nation in these events served as a profound lesson for the enemies. They realized that any aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran would be met with a crushing response. In recent times, the people and armed forces of Iran dealt two heavy blows to criminal and arrogant America and severely punished the rabid dog of global arrogance in the region — the Zionist regime.”
The Chief Justice continued:
“Of course, our people also suffered losses in recent events. Some commanders, scientists, and civilians were martyred, and others suffered physical and financial damages. These losses are undoubtedly painful and grievous for our nation. But in return, the world has awakened, and they now know more deeply the justice-seeking and anti-oppression stance of the Iranian nation. Everyone realized how severe and devastating the punishment for violating Iran’s sovereignty can be. In these recent events, we inflicted blows on the vile body of the Zionists that have been unprecedented in the over 70-year illegitimate life of that usurping regime — so fatal were these strikes that even their American masters had to step into the battlefield directly, and they too were given a firm response.”
He added:
“We must protect and preserve the national unity and cohesion that has formed even stronger in light of the recent developments. Without a doubt, the enemy will try in every possible way, using its deceitful tools, to damage this unity. Therefore, we must be vigilant and avoid any word or deed that disrupts unity. Dividing people today is an evil act, while reinforcing unity is among the virtuous deeds. In this regard, a great responsibility lies on all those with public platforms, especially national media and media influencers.”
He then addressed the need for readiness against future threats:
“These days, the question arises frequently: Will the enemy respect the ceasefire, or is it merely a deceptive maneuver to regroup militarily? The answer is that the despicable Zionist and American enemy can never be trusted. Though the Islamic Republic of Iran will never start a war, it is fully prepared to defend itself. It will respond powerfully to any imposed war and will not accept an imposed peace. The people, the armed forces, and all relevant institutions of the country must remain vigilant against any possible renewed aggression and be watchful of the enemy’s deceptions, proxies, infiltrators, hypocrites, and rumor-mongers. Both direct military attacks and proxy warfare are possibilities, and we must be fully prepared for all scenarios.”
Regarding international legal action, Eje’i stated:
“Despite the fact that international institutions have shown themselves to be ineffective and lacking executive power to curb the savagery and crimes of the Zionists, it is nevertheless necessary and important that the Iranian people’s complaints about the recent crimes of the Zionist regime be registered in competent international bodies. In this regard, the Attorney General and the Deputy for International Affairs of the Judiciary have written and sent letters to the officials of several international organizations. But this is not enough. They must, with the support of other relevant bodies inside the country — including the Foreign Ministry, the Legal Affairs Office of the Presidency, the Atomic Energy Organization, the Bar Association, and others — take appropriate action to prosecute the criminals, register complaints on behalf of the Iranian nation, file legal petitions, seek reparations, and more.”
He stressed:
“Undoubtedly, the Zionist regime, in its recent aggression against Iranian territory, committed crimes that clearly and explicitly violate peremptory norms of international law. Attacks on IRIB, Evin Prison, and nuclear facilities are actions that blatantly contravene international customary and legal standards. From a legal standpoint, we hold the upper hand in these recent events. We must increase our efforts in this area and utilize all national capacities available to us.”
At the end of the meeting, Eje’i also stressed the importance of continuing daily judicial and legal services to the public without delay, despite the recent events:
“While recent developments may shift some of our priorities and plans, we firmly emphasize that daily legal and judicial matters must not be delayed. The implementation of the Judiciary’s renewed transformation and excellence charter must continue with full strength. Also, our unyielding and non-discriminatory fight against corruption remains a top and non-negotiable priority.”
He advised judiciary officials on appropriate conduct in the current situation:
“Officials must maintain close oversight on bail and custody orders, especially in current conditions. If a person does not need to be detained, they should not be issued a bail they cannot meet, leading to unnecessary detention. Likewise, once bail is posted, release must be immediate. On the other hand, individuals who disturb public safety and security must be dealt with firmly and lawfully — no leniency, tolerance, or concessions.”
Finally, he concluded:
“All officials and law enforcement officers must see God as witness in all their actions and never commit acts contrary to Sharia or law under any circumstance. No official or officer should allow themselves to be swept away by emotions or commit unlawful actions, no matter the situation. Under no condition may we violate personal privacy or undertake actions without religious and legal authorization.”
He also pointed to the growing “For the Love of Imam Hussein (AS), I Forgive” campaign and said:
“In all circumstances, we must utilize public capacities to promote reconciliation in disputes, settlements in legal cases, and the release of eligible prisoners — something that is now even more crucial given the current situation of the country.”
