The United States and the Zionist Regime Are Overwhelmed by the Operations of the Islamic Warriors and Iran's Armed Forces

SAEDNEWS: A former Iranian diplomat stated that “the United States and the Zionist regime have been overwhelmed by the operations of the warriors of Islam and Iran’s armed forces,” emphasizing that the country’s armed forces must maintain full readiness to respond to any potential ceasefire violations or attacks by the Zionist regime.

The United States and the Zionist Regime Are Overwhelmed by the Operations of the Islamic Warriors and Iran's Armed Forces

According to Saednews, Iran, in exercising its inherent right to self-defense as enshrined in Article 51 of the UN Charter and in response to the United States' aggressive action violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran—which constitutes an act of armed aggression—took defensive, legitimate, and proportionate action in accordance with international law and international humanitarian law. On June 23, 2025, Iran’s armed forces targeted the American military airbase at Al-Udeid in Qatar.

This strike on Al-Udeid, regarded as Iran’s response to the U.S. direct attacks on three of its nuclear sites, was followed by a ceasefire proposal made by the U.S. and conveyed through Qatar to both Iran and the Israeli regime. This proposal appears to have been pursued seriously by the Americans, and ultimately, all parties agreed to the ceasefire, which came into effect on Tuesday, June 24.

However, experts and analysts, based on past illegal and unlawful behavior by the Israeli regime, warn that Israel cannot be trusted to uphold the ceasefire.

The U.S. was forced to accept the ceasefire and persuaded Israel to agree

In an interview with ISNA regarding the ceasefire between Iran and the Israeli regime, and the need for vigilance against Israeli violations, former Iranian diplomat Mohsen Pak-Ayeen said:
“The United States and the Zionist regime have been overwhelmed by the operations of the warriors of Islam and Iran’s armed forces. The comprehensive impact of Iran’s missiles and drones hitting major cities in the occupied territories and the final Iranian strike on the Al-Udeid base forced the U.S. to accept a ceasefire and to convince Israel to follow suit. Of course, Iran had declared from the beginning that it is not seeking aggression and that as soon as the aggressor halts its operations, Iran will also cease military actions.”

Iran’s armed forces must maintain full readiness

He added:
“The reality is that the Zionist regime has repeatedly violated ceasefires in Palestine and Lebanon. Whenever a ceasefire has been established in Gaza, it has been Israel who broke it—and even now, despite a ceasefire in Lebanon, Israel continues to violate it. Therefore, Iran’s armed forces must maintain full readiness, and as stated in the IRGC’s announcement, must remain on high alert. If the temporary ceasefire is violated, we must respond in kind and prevent any harm to the country.”

The former diplomat emphasized:
“The question of how a permanent ceasefire would look is for officials to decide, but at this stage, it is the duty of the armed forces to remain fully prepared to respond. It is also the people’s duty to support the armed forces with all their strength.”

Under current conditions, talks with the U.S. are unlikely to gain domestic support

On the possibility of future negotiations between Iran and the U.S., Pak-Ayeen said:
“The reality is that Iran has always been distrustful of the United States. The attack on Iran and its nuclear facilities—carried out in the middle of negotiations—has only deepened that mistrust. I don’t think we’ll see negotiations between the two sides resume quickly or easily. The Americans were the main instigators, encouraging Israel to attack Iran and assassinate military commanders and nuclear scientists. They caused widespread destruction and the deaths of many civilians. Under these conditions, negotiations with the U.S. are unlikely to receive significant domestic support.”

He noted, however:
“We have no obstacle to negotiating with European countries, and it was announced in Geneva that such talks may take place soon between Iran and Europe.”
