SAEDNEWS: Iranian political activist Shahriar Heidari has declared that Iran’s missile and defense capabilities—alongside the unity and resilience of its people—compelled Israel and the United States to accept a ceasefire. He warns that any truce must lead to permanent peace to prevent future aggression.
According to Saed News, Iranian political figure and former MP Shahriar Heidari has credited the country's advanced missile program and the steadfastness of its citizens for what he describes as a “forced” ceasefire by Israel and the United States. Speaking to ILNA News Agency, Heidari emphasized that without the Islamic Republic’s military capabilities, there would have been no pause in hostilities.
“The ceasefire was not part of their original strategy,” Heidari said. “The attacks by Israel were coordinated with American backing, and the decision to halt was also shaped jointly. But it was the endurance, unity, and composed response of the Iranian people—despite hardships—that created a new reality they could no longer ignore.”
He underscored that the truce must not be viewed as a tactical pause to allow Israel to regroup. “This ceasefire must be sustainable. It must not be exploited as a recovery window for a regime in deep internal crisis. Israel is facing political disarray, with growing public dissent across the occupied territories. The pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu and his cabinet is immense.”
Heidari further noted apparent fractures within Israel’s military and operational leadership, which, according to him, prompted U.S. intervention under the guise of brokering peace. “Washington stepped in not as a neutral arbitrator, but as a strategic partner seeking to protect its regional ally.”
Reflecting on the broader implications of recent events, Heidari suggested that the episode marked a turning point in Iran’s military doctrine. “This experience has shown the world—and our adversaries—that Iran is more unified, capable, and resilient than ever before. It is now clear that our deterrent power is real, and it’s not going away.”
He warned, however, that this ceasefire must evolve into structured diplomatic engagement. “Negotiations must now focus on establishing a permanent and irreversible end to aggression. Only then can we ensure the U.S. and Israel will not once again miscalculate and launch another reckless offensive.”
Heidari concluded by reaffirming the role of public endurance in Iran’s claimed victory: “The people of Iran stood with our armed forces—patient, dignified, and unwavering. That spirit, more than any missile, brought us to this moment of strength.”
