SAEDNEWS: The Progressive American Senator Criticized Israel’s Role in Shaping U.S. Foreign Policy.
According to Saednews, Bernie Sanders, a progressive American senator, warned in an analytical note for Fox News that the United States should not be drawn into a war with Iran.
He emphasized: Trump’s action in attacking Iran was illegal. Trump did not have the legal right to order an attack on Iran without congressional authorization. Meanwhile, Iran is not a threat to the United States.
Sanders said: No one seriously believes that Iran poses a military threat to the United States.
He referred to Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, for encouraging the U.S. to attack Iraq in 2003 and warned that his policies should not guide Washington’s decisions.
Sanders, pointing to the deliberate and widespread destruction of the Palestinian people by the Israeli army, called on the international community to take a firm stance against human rights violations in the occupied territories.
