Trump’s Gamble Backfires: Iran Vows Nuclear Expansion After 'Savage' Attacks on Key Facilities

According to Saed News, The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has issued a fiery statement following coordinated attacks on the country’s nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. The attacks, described as “savage” and “a flagrant violation of international law,” were reportedly claimed by former U.S. President Donald Trump via social media, further inflaming tensions in the region.

According to the AEOI, the strikes occurred at dawn and targeted sensitive nuclear infrastructure that falls under the jurisdiction of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and is continuously monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The Iranian agency accused both the United States and Israel of orchestrating the assault, denouncing the silence—and in some cases complicity—of international bodies, including the IAEA itself.

“This brutal aggression, carried out under the watch of the IAEA and in blatant disregard for the NPT, represents a dangerous precedent in international relations,” the AEOI stated. “It reflects not only a violation of Iranian sovereignty but also a broader erosion of the norms that underpin global peace.”

The statement warned of legal recourse and international action, urging the global community to condemn what it referred to as "jungle law." Despite the assault, Iranian authorities insisted the country’s nuclear development path remains undeterred.

“To the great Iranian nation, we give our word: the nuclear program—built with the blood of our nuclear martyrs and the dedication of thousands of patriotic scientists—will not be halted,” the AEOI declared.

The organization concluded by emphasizing its commitment to both legal and technical responses, reaffirming its resolve to pursue peaceful nuclear development despite mounting geopolitical pressure.

As of now, neither the IAEA nor Western governments have issued a formal response to the allegations.
