Saed News: Orlando Park announced in a press release on Thursday that a very rare and beautiful white alligator has been born at Gatorland.
According to the analytical news website Saed News, quoted from Parsineh, this is the first white alligator born under human care, and as far as the park knows, it is one of only eight in the world.
Mark McHugh, the president and CEO of Gatorland, said: "For the first time since the discovery of leucistic alligator nests in the swamps of Louisiana 36 years ago, we have recorded the first birth of a white alligator."
Regarding the "gender reveal," the new baby is a female, weighing 96 grams and measuring 49 centimeters in length. She resembles a lizard.
Her parents are named Jian and Ashley, and she was born along with a normal-colored brother of the same size.
