SAEDNEWS: Greenland Authorities Have Begun Training and Preparing Locals to Counter Possible U.S. Operations

Food and Shelter Storage: Greenland Prepares for Possible U.S. Attack

According to Saednews Quoting Tasnim News Agency, Greenland authorities have proactively begun training and preparing the island’s residents amid concerns that the United States might be planning military operations in the region.

Media reports indicate that these measures follow repeated statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who once again suggested buying or controlling Greenland, describing it as “strategic and valuable” for U.S. and NATO security.

The released guidelines include recommendations to stockpile food and medicine, acquire hunting rifles and shelters, and take other precautionary measures to ensure personal and family safety.

Jens-Frederik Nielsen, Greenland’s Prime Minister, said at a press conference at the tip of the territory’s capital: “The likelihood of a military conflict is low, but not impossible.” He added that the government has formed a team of local officials and will provide updated guidelines for residents, including advice to store at least five days’ worth of food.

Meanwhile, Denmark, which oversees Greenland’s defense and foreign policy, has reinforced its military presence in the region and expanded exercises under the name “Polar Power Operations” throughout the year.

At the same time, on Thursday, Trump announced on the “Truth Social” platform the establishment of a framework for a future agreement with Europeans regarding Greenland and the entire Arctic region, calling it a “major achievement for the U.S. and NATO countries.” He also stated that planned customs tariffs for February 1 would be postponed and that further negotiations on the “Golden Dome” agreement are ongoing.

Trump added that his deputy J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are responsible for the negotiations and will report directly to him.
