🔥 Inside the Iran-E3 New York Meeting: Key Takeaways and Surprising Moves!

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with his counterparts from the UK, Germany, and France in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas also attending. The high-level meeting focused on recent diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Iranian nuclear issue and preventing further regional escalation.

Araghchi highlighted Iran’s principled and practical measures over the past months to dispel doubts surrounding its nuclear program. He described the unlawful attacks on Iran and its nuclear facilities by Israel and the United States in June 2025 as a dark chapter in the history of the non-proliferation regime. The 12-day aggression claimed over 1,064 lives, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces struck strategic targets across occupied territories and the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest U.S. military hub in West Asia, ultimately halting the aggression by June 24. Araghchi criticized the silence and inaction of international institutions, particularly the UN Security Council, in face of the crisis.

The talks also reviewed Iran’s recent agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). On September 9, 2025, Araghchi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi signed a framework agreement in Cairo to resume nuclear cooperation. This accord allows inspectors access to all Iranian nuclear facilities, including those attacked in June, and is seen as a crucial step in restoring confidence and continuing transparent nuclear operations.

During the meeting, discussions also covered the controversial move by European parties to trigger UN Security Council sanctions against Iran. Ideas and proposals were exchanged to maintain diplomatic momentum, with agreement to continue consultations with all stakeholders.

The meeting underscores Iran’s commitment to diplomacy, transparency, and peaceful resolution, emphasizing that constructive cooperation with international bodies remains the best path to security, stability, and mutual trust in the nuclear domain.
