SAEDNEWS: Spain’s Foreign Minister has warned that Madrid will respond if Israel takes any action against the “Sumud Flotilla,” which recently set sail carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
According to Al-Mayadeen, Spain’s top diplomat has issued a stern warning that any attack on the Sumud flotilla would violate international law and freedom of expression, prompting a decisive Spanish reaction.
Highlighting that part of the flotilla departed from Barcelona, the minister described the mission as peaceful and humanitarian, assuring that Spain will provide full political support to all passengers on the ships that sailed from its ports.
In addition, Spain’s foreign minister has tasked the ambassador in Tunisia to investigate a recent drone strike targeting flotilla vessels in Tunisian waters.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the Sumud Flotilla warned of escalating Israeli threats, emphasizing the ongoing risks to their humanitarian mission.
