SAEDNEWS: British war correspondent Johnny Miller said that Israel deliberately kills journalists in order to silence them because the truth is damaging to the regime.
British war correspondent Johnny Miller has described Israeli crimes against journalists as unprecedented in human history.
“I have never witnessed anything like this before. This scale of the killing of journalists is unprecedented in human history,” Miller said in an exclusive interview with IRNA, which was conducted after Israel killed several Palestinian journalists in a targeted attack on their tent in Gaza City at the weekend.
“They kill journalists on purpose because the truth is damaging to them. So they want to silence journalists, and they will do that any way they can,” he said, adding that Israel has no respect for international law and human ethics, viewing journalists as “enemy combatants.”
Miller believes that the only way to stop Israeli crimes is to boycott the regime, saying that “there has never been an institute like Israel in the history of the world or in warfare.”
Israel operates like an extremist cult, and it will not respond to reason or ethical appeals, he concluded.
The attack in Gaza City on journalists’ tent left at least five media workers killed, including two Al Jazeera reporters, Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqeh.
Since the outbreak of the Gaza war in early October 2023, the Israeli regime has repeatedly targeted journalists in what is widely viewed as an attempt to silence reporting on the suffering of Palestinians.
According to Gaza’s Government Information Office, at least 237 journalists have been killed in Israeli attacks since the start of the war.
