SAEDNEWS: The Dongfeng Voyah Taishan luxury SUV, featuring striking interior design and advanced technologies, has been unveiled in China. This hybrid vehicle is set to compete in the luxury car market.
According to Saed News’ Science and Technology Desk, the Dongfeng Voyah Taishan, introduced as the flagship model of the Voyah brand, is setting new standards in China’s SUV market with a 65 kWh battery and Huawei’s intelligent technologies. The new model promises a distinct driving and passenger experience.
Striking Design and Impressive Specifications
The Voyah Taishan is a full-size SUV that previously sought sales approval in China. Its dimensions measure 5,230 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, 1,817 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. It is powered by a triple NMC 65 kWh battery, delivering a fully electric range of 370 km under the CLTC standard.
This battery pack supplies energy to two electric motors with a combined output of 380 kW (510 hp). With the addition of a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine, the Taishan’s total range extends to 1,400 km, making it suitable for long-distance travel. The vehicle’s domestic launch price is estimated at around 500,000 yuan (approximately $70,430).

Interior: Immersed in Luxury and Comfort
Inside, the Taishan adopts a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, emphasizing comfort and luxury. The second row features two captain’s chairs equipped with touchscreens, cupholders in the armrests, electric footrests, phone chargers, and rear-headrest speakers, creating a highly refined passenger experience.
Additional premium features include an integrated refrigerator, foldable tables, a dual-pane panoramic roof, and a roof-mounted display. The center console, inspired by Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5, incorporates a floating touchscreen, an LCD instrument panel, and an augmented reality heads-up display. The gear selector is mounted on the steering column, while the console offers a cluster of physical buttons, dual wireless phone chargers, and ample storage space.

Innovation at Every Step: Advanced Smart Technologies
The Voyah Taishan also integrates Huawei’s ADS 4 advanced driver-assistance system, which uses four LiDAR sensors to enable semi-autonomous driving from origin to destination. Another standout feature is Remote Valet Parking. High-end components such as air suspension and rear-wheel steering further enhance ride stability and driving comfort.
The Taishan is set to enter the domestic Chinese market this year, competing with strong rivals like Zeekr 9X, Li Auto L9, and Aiways U6. Global sales of this Dongfeng model are expected to begin next year.
