SAEDNEWS: The CEO of Qom Industrial Towns Company said: The enemy's aggression against our beloved homeland has doubled the determination and resolve of Qom’s craftsmen to preserve the front line of production and to serve the people.
According to saednews, In recent days, the solidarity and cooperation between the private sector and the government around production in the industrial towns of Qom province have increased, and everyone is striving to ensure that there is no interruption in service delivery by this important economic sector.
He added: Craftsmen have always been on the front line of the economic battle, and despite intensified economic sanctions, the wheels of production in the province have not only stopped but, according to existing indicators, in recent years we have witnessed growing and expanding industrial activities; by the grace of God and with national unity, we will safely pass through the current conditions and continue the progress in production activities at a faster pace.
He emphasized: With the support of dedicated forces and workers and the security provided by supporting institutions, life in the production sector of Qom province flows well, and everyone is seeking to increase activities and improve productivity to raise the production level of products and supply them to the market to better meet the needs of the people. It is worth mentioning that commercial activities and exports of Qom’s production continue without interruption, and in the past three months of the year, more than 51 million dollars’ worth of goods, in 1,218 customs declarations and weighing about 45 thousand tons, have been exported from Qom.
Forty-one percent of Qom’s economy belongs to the industrial sector, and currently a significant portion of the province’s employment is in this sector. Qom ranks sixth in the country in terms of industrial employment, which reflects the importance of industry and the investments made in recent years in this province.
Also, Qom has seven industrial towns: Shokouhieh, Al-Ghadir, Shahab (Printing and Publishing), Salafchegan, Mahmoudabad, Saman Wood and Furniture, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and four industrial zones: Khorrabad, Dastjerd, Sirou, and Taghroud, as well as two non-governmental industrial towns, each of which has a special position for the development of investment, production, and employment. In the industrial towns and zones of Qom province, there are nearly 2,000 industrial units providing employment capacity for over 50,000 people, where craftsmen are engaged in carrying out the country’s necessary production activities.
