Islamic Republic of Iran Will Not Step Back Against Saboteurs: Leader

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting held in Tehran on Friday morning with the people of the central Iranian province of Qom to mark the city’s uprising that took place on the 19th of Dey, 1356 (January 9, 1978).

Referring to the recent gatherings in the country, the Leader said, “Last night in Tehran, some saboteurs destroyed the buildings belonging to their country in order to make the President of the United States happy.”

There are various incidents in the United States, Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that the US president’s hands are stained with the blood of more than a thousand of Iranians.

While over thousands of Iranians were martyred apart from prominent figures during the recent 12-day imposed war, the President of the United States confessed that he ordered the attack and accepted that his hands were stained with the blood of Iranians, the Leader noted.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized, “The US president says that I am in favor of Iranians, and some inexperienced people believe his claims and burn trash to make Trump happy.”

“Everyone must know that the Islamic Republic came to power with the blood of hundreds of thousands of honorable people, and it will never step back against those who are saboteurs,” he underlined.

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the Islamic Republic will not tolerate the mercenary elements of foreigners and reject anyone who is envolved in mercenary measures.

Regarding the US persident, he said, “The guy who judges and talks about the world arrogantly should know that normally the arrogant people of the wolrd, like Pharoah, Nimrod, Reza Shah and his son, were toppled when they were at the peak of pride. He will be toppled too.”

Calling the Pahlavi regime “the worst government of contemporary world,” he said that the weak and corrupt givernment was toppled and a popular government took power and replaced the one that relied on the US, Zionism, and other rogues of the political world.

He said that those who are unhappy with Iran standing against the US are ignorant, adding that these people do not see that it was the US and those relying on it that started fighting agaist Iranian people and have continued with it because the islamic republic, reling on its people, brought its own huge wealth and resources out of the grip of the US.

He added that Latin America is an exapmle of US's attempt to take control of other nations assets. They besieged t a country and blatantly said that they did so because of oil.

With God’s grace, the Islamic System has become stronger day after day, and the US’s plots to eliminate the system have been foiled, he said.

Rejecting the enemy’s claim that Iran is isolated, he said that Iran is seen as an independent, brave country that has a bright future.
