SAEDNEWS: Iran's Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, stated that Israel's recent attacks on Iranian military facilities caused only “minor” damage, which was promptly repaired.
According to SAEDNEWS, Nasirzadeh made these comments during a speech to non-Iranian students at the Supreme National Defense University and foreign military attachés in Tehran on Monday.
He explained that the "recent aggression of the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran inflicted slight damage on us, which we immediately repaired and replaced by making use of our own know-how and scientific power." The defense minister further noted that if Iran did not possess such scientific capabilities, others would not have allowed it to make these quick repairs.
Moreover, he criticized Israel for violating international laws designed to protect human rights and promote justice. The Israeli attacks, which occurred early Saturday, resulted in the deaths of four Iranian servicemen and one civilian. According to Iran’s Air Defense Base, some limited damage was reported in certain areas, and investigations are underway to assess the full extent of the impact.
Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, added that these Israeli actions have not diminished Iran's military strength. He emphasized that Iran is not seeking war but will firmly defend its rights in response to Israel’s actions.
In addition to addressing the Israeli attacks, Nasirzadeh spoke about the broader geopolitical landscape. He criticized the United States for its presence in various regions, including the South China Sea and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, claiming it promotes U.S. unilateralism. He called on justice-seeking nations, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to leverage their scientific capabilities and work together based on common interests.
