SAEDNEWS: The release of images of a child in China, known as the masked child, has touched the hearts of millions.
According to SaedNews, quoting Young Journalists Club, this child, born in Hunan Province, China, has a rare congenital defect with two large clefts on both sides of his mouth extending towards his ears.
His mother, who was 23 years old at the time of his birth, said, "When I first saw my child's face in 2009, I was heartbroken. Why did this have to happen to me? Especially since my child was mocked by locals. But everything changed after the photos of my son were published."
Dr. Wang Duokuan explained, "Not only are the facial tissues damaged, fractured, and displaced, but the child's cheekbone and upper jaw are also affected." It is worth mentioning that with the release of these images on social media, kind-hearted people in China have donated around 40,000 euros for his surgery.
