SAEDNEWS: Maqbad Qadamgah, with 12,000 years of history, near the village of Badamyar and 7 kilometers southeast of Azarshahr, is carved like a cave into the heart of the mountain. This site was used as a Mithraic temple before the advent of Islam.

According to Saed News, this domed temple was used between the 6th and 8th centuries AH as a gathering place for mystics and dervishes, and later as a mosque.

Some archaeologists attribute it to the prehistoric era, after which it was converted into a fire temple, and later, by adding a mihrab facing the Qibla, it became an Islamic place of worship.

Next to the domed temple and mosque in the village of Ghadamgah, Azarshahr, there is also a historical cemetery. This cemetery is situated on a mound, featuring various inscriptions, carvings, and statues. The tombstones and grave slabs are inscribed in Kufic and modern Thuluth scripts.

The village of Badamyar, locally known as Ghadamgah, is located about 7 kilometers southeast of Azarshahr.
