SAEDNEWS: The highly anticipated heavyweight bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is reportedly nearing an official announcement, with November 20, 2026 and Madison Square Garden in New York emerging as the likely date and venue. However, disagreements over the location have delayed final confirmation.
According to SaedNews: The boxing showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua appears closer than ever to becoming official, with November 20, 2026 (Friday, November 29, 1405 in the Iranian calendar) reported as the possible date for the heavyweight clash. Madison Square Garden in New York has also been mentioned as the leading option to host the event.
Both fighters have already signed contracts for the bout, but the final announcement has been delayed due to a dispute over the location. Joshua’s original agreement reportedly focused on holding the fight in England, while Netflix and the organizing team, including Turki Alalshikh, have pushed for the event to take place in the United States.

Fury recently suggested that confirmation was close, saying: “Everything is going well. A big announcement is coming very soon. A huge fight is on the way, the one you have all been waiting for. It will be announced very soon, so stay tuned.”
Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has taken a different position, stating that no final agreement has been reached to change the venue from the terms already signed. He explained that moving the fight to the US would require adjustments to the contract and that Joshua would need additional financial compensation for the change.
Hearn added that his team is still working to hold the fight in England, although New York remains a possibility if all sides reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White has also indicated that a television deal and venue agreement are in place, but he expressed frustration over how long the final process has taken.
Despite the ongoing disagreements, recent reports suggest that November 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York is currently the most likely scenario for Fury and Joshua’s fight, although the official announcement still depends on a final agreement between all parties.
