The bird has a large and unusual mouth, which gives it a more frightening appearance. Its scientific name is Potoo. This strange bird species is found in northern South America. Like owls, potoos are nocturnal birds; during the day, they remain completely still while resting on tree branches or trunks, using their camouflage to blend into their surroundings.
Potoos feed mainly on insects and lay their eggs in natural hollows or depressions found in trees.
