SAEDNEWS: If you're looking for a delicious and healthy meal, spinach pasta is a great choice. It's easy to make and can be prepared effortlessly at home.
According to Saednews, If you enjoy low-calorie meals but are unsure what to make for lunch, spinach pasta is an excellent option. Its preparation is similar to that of Alfredo pasta, and many people consider the two dishes to be the same.
However, spinach pasta is usually made without cream, making it lighter than traditional Alfredo pasta.

380 g spaghetti (pasta)
225 g fresh spinach, washed
⅔ clove garlic, finely chopped
⅔ tablespoon olive oil
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (or any cheese of your choice for the sauce)
½–1 cup reserved pasta water
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Pesto, chopped pistachios, or grilled salmon (optional, for variety)
Tip: Fresh spinach is recommended for all spinach-based dishes. If fresh spinach is unavailable and you are using frozen spinach, let it thaw before you begin cooking.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add enough salt to make the water taste like seawater. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, approximately 8–9 minutes.
Before draining, reserve one cup of the pasta water. Then drain the spaghetti.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté briefly.
Garlic burns quickly, so if you are concerned about burning it, add one or two tablespoons of water to the skillet.
Add the spinach to the skillet and sauté it with the garlic until the leaves are completely wilted, about 2–3 minutes.
If desired, add a little cream cheese to the sauce. Season with salt and black pepper, and add a splash of lemon juice if you like.
Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
If you prefer a smooth, creamy sauce, transfer the spinach mixture to a blender. Add the Parmesan cheese and half of the reserved pasta water.
Blend until smooth, adding more pasta water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.

Return the sauce to the skillet. Add the drained spaghetti and gently toss it with the sauce using a large spoon or pasta fork until all the strands are evenly coated.
If the sauce is too thick, add a little more of the reserved pasta water.
Once the spaghetti is heated through, taste it and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and black pepper if needed.
Serve the pasta garnished with extra grated Parmesan cheese. For additional flavor and variety, add chopped pistachios or grilled salmon, if desired.

Oil and sauce: Adding oil to the cooking water can prevent the sauce from adhering well to the pasta. For the best results, cook the pasta in salted water and toss it directly with the sauce.
Salt the water properly: Pasta water should taste pleasantly salty, similar to seawater. This is the best opportunity to season the pasta itself.
Use boiling water: The water should be at a full boil before adding the spaghetti to ensure proper cooking.
Stir occasionally: Stirring the pasta while it cooks helps prevent the strands from sticking together and forming clumps.
Spinach pasta is a delicious, nutritious, and lighter meal that makes a great choice for lunch!
