How To Make Delicious Turkish Izgara Köfte

According to SAEDNEWS, Izgara Köfte is a widely made dish in Istanbul and is considered a very popular food in Turkey. It has a long history and is traditionally prepared using ground meat, onion, and spices, and it is either grilled or pan-fried. The nature of this dish is completely Turkish.

Ingredients For Turkish Izgara Köfte

  • 3 cloves grated garlic

  • 2 grated onions

  • 1 red bell pepper, grated

  • 1–2 green chilies, chopped

  • 1 kg ground beef

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/4 teaspoon sumac

  • 1 teaspoon ginger

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chopped coriander

How To Make Izgara Köfte

First, squeeze out the onion juice. Then mix the onions with ground meat, garlic, coriander, red bell pepper, red pepper powder, green chilies, cumin, sumac, ginger, and salt, and knead well.

If desired, you can soak the inside of a baguette in milk and add it to the mixture.

Take portions of the mixture about the size of a tangerine and shape them into round or oval patties like cutlets. Then place them on a greased baking tray and bake at 180°C for 20–30 minutes.
