How to Prepare Shani Grape Pickle

Ingredients for Shani Grape Pickle

For 2–2.7 kilograms

  • Shahani grapes — 1 kilogram

  • Red vinegar — 1 liter

  • Sugar — 1 cup

  • Grape leaves — 2 to 3 leaves

Steps to Prepare Shani Pickle

Separate the grapes from the bunches and place them into a jar.

Mix the vinegar with the sugar until the sugar dissolves, then pour the mixture over the grapes.

Place the grape leaves on top of the grapes, close the jar tightly, and keep it in a cool, dark place for one month until the pickle is ready.

Chef’s Suggestion

Instead of sugar, you can use honey. In that case, dissolve 500 grams of honey in the vinegar.

You can also mix grape syrup (doshab) with vinegar. In that case, combine 1 kilogram of grape syrup with 500 milliliters of vinegar.
