SAEDNEWS: If Google Chrome is installed on your computer, installing Internet Download Manager (IDM) will automatically add its extension to Chrome—you just need to activate it.

How to Create an Internet Download Manager (IDM) Extension in Google Chrome

If you accidentally removed the IDM (Internet Download Manager) extension, you can manually reinstall it in Chrome by following these steps:

  1. Locate the IDM Installation Folder
By default, IDM is installed at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager

  2. Add the Extension to Chrome
Find the file named IDMGCExt.crx in the installation folder, then drag and drop it onto the Chrome Extensions page.

    • To access the Extensions page, type chrome://extensions in the Chrome address bar and press Enter, or go to Chrome’s menu → More Tools → Extensions.

This will reinstall the IDM extension in Google Chrome.

For Firefox Users:
If IDM is disabled or not working in Firefox, first completely remove the extension. Then download the idmzzcc.xpi file from IDM’s official source, and drag it into the Firefox address bar to reinstall the IDM extension.
