SAEDNEWS: President Masoud Pezeshkian says regional diplomacy must go beyond meetings to manage crises, sustain dialogue, and prevent conflicts from escalating.
According to Saednews, Regional diplomacy should go beyond simply holding meetings and serve as an effective tool for managing crises, maintaining dialogue, preventing escalation, and promoting practical cooperation, President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a post on X late Friday.
He shared the message after returning from a visit to Turkmenistan earlier that day, where he addressed an extraordinary environmental summit of the heads of Caspian Sea littoral states in Ashgabat.
Pezeshkian also attended a summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Ashgabat and held bilateral meetings with officials participating in the event on its sidelines.
