SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stressed that continued dialogue and cooperation with neighboring countries remain a priority for the Islamic Republic of Iran in efforts to build a more secure, stable, and prosperous region.
According to Saednews, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that he hosted Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Tehran on Monday, where the two sides discussed expanding relations between Iran and Armenia.
According to Araghchi, the meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation in several areas, including the economy, trade, transportation, energy, and other fields of mutual interest.
The two foreign ministers also discussed developments in the Caucasus and the importance of maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region.
Araghchi said Iran believes regional issues should be addressed through the participation and initiatives of countries within the region, without interference from extra-regional powers.
He emphasized that continued dialogue and cooperation with neighboring countries remain a priority for the Islamic Republic of Iran as it seeks to promote a more secure, stable, and prosperous region.
“Our neighbors are our priority,” Araghchi said.
