SAEDNEWS: Yemen Announces Three Military Operations Against Targets in Saudi Arabia
According to Saednews, Yemen's armed forces said they conducted three military operations using ballistic and cruise missiles and drones against several targets in Saudi Arabia, including King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, the Aramco refinery in Rabigh, and Abha Airport.
Military spokesman Yahya Saree said the first operation targeted King Khalid Airport in Riyadh and disrupted flights at the facility. The second operation targeted the Aramco refinery in Rabigh, where he said a fire broke out following the attack. The third operation targeted Abha Airport, the Khamis Mushait military base, the Akfa camp in the Asir region, as well as other sensitive positions in Najran and Jizan.
Saree said the operations were carried out in response to what he described as "Saudi aggression" against Yemen. According to his statement, Saudi attacks over the previous 24 hours included around 60 airstrikes and missile attacks.
He said the strikes targeted Sanaa and the provinces of Jawf, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada and Marib, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children. Saree also claimed that the total number of Saudi airstrikes and missile attacks since the latest escalation began had reached 1,576.
Saree warned international airlines operating through Saudi airspace against continuing their flights. He said that, apart from the airspace over the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, Saudi airspace could become an area of military operations. He added that Yemeni forces would not be responsible for the consequences of ignoring the warning.
The military spokesman said Yemeni forces possess the capabilities and means necessary to confront the ongoing escalation. He said the forces were prepared for such a situation and that the battlefield would ultimately determine the outcome.
