SAEDNEWS: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced that Bafel Talabani, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), will visit Tehran on Tuesday.
According to Saednews, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that Bafel Talabani’s visit to Tehran is taking place at the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
He said the visit is part of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ongoing consultations with the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with the aim of expanding bilateral relations and promoting peace and stability in the region.
During his visit, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is expected to meet with senior Iranian officials to discuss issues of mutual interest. The talks will include economic cooperation and border security, among other regional matters.
