SAEDNEWS: IRGC Says Advanced U.S. MQ-1 Drone Intercepted and Destroyed Over Western Strait of Hormuz
According to Saednews, The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its newly developed aerospace air defence system intercepted and destroyed an advanced MQ-1 drone over the western Strait of Hormuz at dawn on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the IRGC’s public relations office, the drone was detected and brought down in the western section of the Strait of Hormuz during the early morning hours. The system reportedly operated as part of Iran’s integrated air defence network.
The IRGC did not immediately provide additional information about the drone’s mission, operator, or point of origin.
