SAEDNEWS: U.S. MQ-1 Drone Intercepted and Destroyed by Iran Over Strait of Hormuz
According to Saednews, The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its newly developed advanced aerospace air defence system intercepted and destroyed an MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz while operating under Iran’s integrated air defence network.
The IRGC’s public relations office said the drone was intercepted and destroyed moments earlier over the strategic waterway.
No further details were immediately provided about the drone’s mission or origin. The reported interception comes after a series of Iranian operations targeting U.S. unmanned aircraft in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
