SAEDNEWS: The spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces announced that a Chinese-made Wing Loong 2 drone, reportedly operated by Saudi forces, was shot down over Yemen’s Taiz province.
According to Saednews, Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that a Saudi Wing Loong 2 armed reconnaissance drone was shot down over Taiz province on Sunday morning.
According to the Sanaa-based government's military media, the drone was targeted while conducting what it described as hostile operations in the skies over the province.
Saree said the aircraft was brought down in the northwest of Maqbaneh district using a weapon described as suitable for the operation.
He stated that the Yemeni armed forces had successfully intercepted the Saudi drone during its mission, attributing the operation to what he described as divine assistance.
