SAEDNEWS: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has described Washington’s threats to punish countries trading with Iran as mere “big talk,” asserting that Iran’s trading partners will not comply with US sanctions.
According to Saednews, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Monday that Iran’s trading partners have told Tehran they will ignore US threats.
In a post on his X account, Ghalibaf said Iran’s trade partners had communicated through both the media and direct messages that they considered the US statements “utterly meaningless.”
He also argued that the US economy has already been affected by what he described as Washington’s war of aggression against Iran, adding that the United States could not afford further disputes with other countries over Iran.
“The Americans know that no one believes their big talk,” Ghalibaf said, claiming that the United States is not economically capable of further restricting its relations with other countries.
