SAEDNEWS: Shipping data indicates that traffic through the Strait of Hormuz fell to just one commercial vessel on Monday.
According to Saednews, Shipping data shows that traffic through the Strait of Hormuz fell to just one commercial vessel on Monday, marking the lowest daily volume recorded since May 7, Reuters reports.
According to preliminary data from ship-tracking company Kpler, only one very large gas carrier passed through the narrow waterway on Monday, entering from the Gulf of Oman. By comparison, six vessels of various types transited the strait on Sunday.
Reuters noted that the figures are preliminary and may be revised, as some vessels switch off their transponders while sailing through the area.
