To the heroic, courageous, and vigilant people of the Islamic Republic of Iran:
In response to what it described as the criminal actions of the U.S. military, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that, during the eleventh wave of Operation Nasr 2, carried out under the code name "O Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (AS)" and dedicated to the memory of the fallen soldiers of Bampur and Iranshahr, its Aerospace Force launched a surprise attack on what it called the enemy's Special Operations Command Center in the Al-Tanf region of Syria.
According to the statement, the operation destroyed a radar system, several special operations helicopters, and resulted in the deaths of numerous U.S. personnel. The IRGC said the attack was carried out in retaliation for the deaths of Iranian soldiers in Iranshahr the previous night.
The statement further claimed that the Strait of Hormuz remains under the complete control of Iranian forces and warned that as long as U.S. actions continue, no oil or gas will be allowed to be exported through the strait.
The statement concluded with the Quranic verse:
"Victory comes only from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Wise."
