Iran Rejects Accusations, Calls for Condemnation of Attack on Tehran Synagogue

According to Saednews, In a statement posted on its X account on Friday, the Iranian Embassy in Berlin challenged the credibility of the accusations, stressing that national security is a universally respected principle in both Iran and Germany. The embassy stated:

“Security is, in every country—whether in Iran or Germany—a necessary and respectable matter. However, unfounded accusations against Iran, made under the influence of Iran’s enemies and the repetition of worn-out clichés, only serve to undermine the credibility of the legal institutions of the accusing side. Moreover, if the protection of Jewish institutions and centers, as well as all sites belonging to the Abrahamic religions, is a universally recognized principle—which it undoubtedly is—then the military attack by the Israeli regime in April 2026 on the Rafi’-Nia Synagogue in Tehran should also be viewed and condemned with the same level of sensitivity.”

The diplomatic mission emphasized that the protection of religious sites must be applied consistently and without double standards. Referring to the April 2026 strike on the synagogue in Tehran, allegedly carried out by the Israeli regime, the embassy called for an international response that applies equal concern and condemnation to attacks on religious sites in Iran as it does elsewhere.

Meanwhile, German federal prosecutors announced criminal charges against a Danish national and an Afghan national suspected of plotting to assassinate Jewish figures in Germany. German authorities linked the alleged plot to Iran, prompting an official rebuttal from the Iranian Embassy in Berlin.
