Saed News: Pakistan’s Defense Minister said in an interview that he does not believe there is a possibility of the resumption of war, although Israel and perhaps two or three countries may want to prolong the war and have the United States fight on their behalf.
According to SAEDNEWS, the Defense Minister of Pakistan said the likelihood of another war starting is very low because no country, including Iran’s neighbors across the Persian Gulf, supports a war against Tehran, and Israel is left alone on this path; as global public opinion and even the United States oppose Washington’s “choice war.”
Khawaja Muhammad Asif, speaking on a political program on Geo News in Islamabad, referring to his recent meeting with the Iranian delegation on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization defense ministers’ meeting in Bishkek, said they have strong determination and spirit, and Pakistan appreciates Iran’s trust in it for advancing diplomacy.
He added that he does not think war will start again; today we are witnessing strong opposition from people around the world against what they call a “choice war” by the United States, and even public opinion in the U.S. is against war.
The Defense Minister stated that he does not believe there is a possibility of renewed war, although Israel and perhaps two or three countries may want to prolong the war and have the United States fight on their behalf.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s relations with Iran are very longstanding, with linguistic and neighboring ties dating back thousands of years, and therefore he believes even Iran’s neighboring countries across the Persian Gulf do not support war.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif added that for Pakistan, the positions of China and Russia are important; their views are very clear and understandable, and they, along with other countries, do not support a war against Iran.
