Saed News: The Kremlin issued a statement announcing the timing of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to China and provided details on the main topics of negotiations between the two leaders.
According to SAEDNEWS, the Kremlin announced today (Saturday) that Vladimir Putin will travel to China on an official visit from May 19 to 20 (Ordibehesht 29 to 30) at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Sputnik reported that the Kremlin’s statement said Putin and Xi will discuss important issues in bilateral relations and ways to deepen the comprehensive partnership and cooperation between Russia and China. It is also expected that a high-level joint statement will be issued after the talks and several bilateral agreements will be signed.
The visit will also include a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, where prospects for economic and trade cooperation will be discussed.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously stated that contacts between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping would remain independent and would not refer to the agenda of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to China, which concluded yesterday.
