Enemy Plot to Overthrow the Regime Using “Assassination”; People Take to the Streets, but…

According to the Political Service of the SaedNews Agency, the newspaper Jomhouri Eslami wrote that, through intense propaganda campaigns conducted by media affiliated with the United States and Zionism from January to March 2026, they fueled domestic dissatisfaction in Iran and believed they had created conditions to “finish the job.”

According to the report, on March 9, 2026, they carried out a lightning attack, allegedly assassinating the Leader and several senior military commanders. They then announced that within three days they would overthrow the Islamic Republic system and take control of Iran.

The planners reportedly expected more than ever that people would take to the streets. People did indeed come out, but not in support of the enemy—instead, they mobilized to neutralize infiltration plots by hostile agents inside the country.

The plan, according to the report, involved agents linked to the United States and the Israeli regime entering the country from multiple border points and, with the cooperation of domestic infiltrators, seizing streets and sensitive centers, handing control over to the attackers.

The architects of the plot had even identified a replacement figure to assume governance—an individual described as an internal asset. However, the third phase of the conspiracy was also allegedly neutralized due to the presence of the people, the heroism of the armed forces, and the steadfastness of officials. The report further claims that resistance axes in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen also entered the confrontation, and this coalition, in a 40-day heavy battle against the terrorist armies of the United States and the Israeli regime, managed to gain the upper hand.

A proper understanding of the alleged three-stage overthrow plot suggests, according to the article, that its designers relied heavily on public dissatisfaction within Iran. It further claims that they are still attempting to create dissatisfaction and are waiting for a suitable opportunity to exploit it.

The report adds that the recent unusual surge in prices of goods, foreign currency, and gold should not be considered unrelated to these developments. Therefore, it argues that responsible authorities should focus on three key issues: preventing inflation in essential goods, restoring the national currency’s value to its real level, and ending speculative online activities that have disrupted many people’s livelihoods.

It concludes that with these three measures, support should be provided to the public and adversaries should be discouraged from continuing their alleged conspiracies.
