Pezeshkian Warns Against Israel’s Destabilizing Role In Region, Urges Unity To Thwart Its Plots

According to SAEDNEWS, president Masoud Pezeshkian has warned against Israel’s destructive role in the region, and called on regional countries to foster unity to counter the regime’s plots.

The President made the remarka in a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir al-Shammari in Tehran on Monday.

Pezeshkian said the Israeli regime is disrupting peace and security in the region.

“The Zionist regime is the arrogant system’s project to undermine, occupy, and plunder the resources of the regional countries and disintegrate the region,” he added.

“We must stand united in the face of such a common enemy, support each other and vehemently avoid division and duality,” he emphasized.

The President hailed fraternal Tehran-Baghdad relations, which are based on deep religious and cultural bonds, and noted that Iran would make further efforts to reinforce unity and coherence among Muslim nations.

He expressed Iran’s readiness to bolster cooperation with Iraq in all fields.

The Iraqi interior minister, for his part, extended his congratulations to the Iranian people over their victorious resistance against the Israeli regime during its 12-day acts of aggression against the Islamic Republic.

Al-Shammari said the Iraqi government is using its utmost capacities to host millions of pilgrims who plan to mark Arba’een, the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).
