In 2027: Ukraine’s Conflict with Russia Could Cost Over $470 Million a Day

According to Saednews, Ukraine’s military spending in 2027 will reach $473 million per day if the conflict with Russia continues, according to TASS calculations based on reports from Ukraine’s Finance Ministry.

The figure covers military expenditures alone, including payments to active-duty personnel and the procurement of military equipment, ammunition, and other supplies. It excludes social support for former service members and the families of those killed in action, the construction of fortifications not carried out by the Defense Ministry, and other government spending. Total military expenditures for the year are expected to reach nearly $173 billion.

In 2026, Ukraine’s military spending averaged approximately $300 million per day, excluding additional funding requests from the Defense Ministry at the end of the year. Including those requests would bring the daily total to $370 million.
