SAEDNEWS: At least seven people were killed and 20 others were injured in a suicide bombing near a police station close to the venue of a peace rally in Pakistan's Swat district on Sunday.
According to Saednews, A suicide bombing occurred near the entrance of a police station in Swat as a public gathering was coming to an end, according to local police.
District Police Officer Muhammad Umar said the attacker tried to enter the police station but was stopped by an officer at the main gate. The suspect then detonated the explosives he was carrying, causing multiple casualties.
Both civilians attending the gathering and police officers were among those killed and injured in the explosion.
Emergency responders and security forces quickly arrived at the scene, providing medical assistance and transporting the wounded to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities sealed off the area and launched a search operation while forensic teams gathered evidence from the blast site as part of the ongoing investigation.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Officials continue to investigate the incident to determine the circumstances and those responsible.
