SAEDNEWS: During a phone conversation with India's External Affairs Minister, Iran's Foreign Minister accused the United States of fueling instability in the region through its naval blockade and attacks on commercial shipping. Iran said these actions have increased tensions and disrupted regional security.
According to Saednew, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar by phone on Friday evening to discuss the latest developments in the region and Iran's stance on the ongoing situation.
During the conversation, Araghchi said that repeated ceasefire violations by the United States, continued military operations, the naval blockade, and attacks on Iranian commercial vessels have contributed to instability in the region and the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that the international community should hold what he described as the "aggressor parties" accountable.
Jaishankar expressed concern over the evolving situation and its potential impact on other countries. He also conveyed India's willingness to support efforts aimed at easing regional tensions.
The two foreign ministers additionally reviewed bilateral relations between Iran and India.
